The President of India serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. The primary objective of the navy is to secure national maritime borders. The Indian Navy invited applications from unmarried Male candidates for recruitment to the post of Sailors for artificer apprentice (AA) – 137 batch. The candidate can apply online on or before 20-06-2014. Name of the Post: Sailors Educational Qualification: Qualified in 10+2 / equivalent examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects; Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science. Pay Scale: The Artificer Apprentices Basic Pay Band is Rs. 5200-20200. In addition they will be paid Grade Pay @Rs.2000/- plus MSP @ Rs. 2000/- plus 'X' Group Pay @ Rs. 1400/- plus DA Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 17 to 21 years (i.e. born between 1st February 1994 to 31st January 1998). Selection Procedure: Selection Process will be done on the basis of Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Examination.
