The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (abbreviated IIM Lucknow or IIM-L) is an autonomous public business school located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1984 as the fourth Indian Institute of Management (IIM) by the Government of India. IIM Lucknow offers post-graduate diploma, fellowship and executive programs in management. It is recognized as an “Institution of Excellence” by the India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The institute is situated in a 200-acre site in the northern outskirts of Lucknow. It has a satellite campus at Noida exclusively for executive education. The admission for the post graduate and fellowship programmes is done through Common Admission Test (CAT), while GMAT score is used for the executive MBA program.

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has invited job applications for the post of Academic Assistant and Academic Associate. Interested and eligible candidates are required to send in their job applications latest by May 2, 2014.

Vacancy details:

Academic Assistant Rs.10,000/- to Rs 15,000 per month depending on qualification and experience Post Graduate (preferably M.com or MBA)
Academic Associate Rs.15,000/- to Rs 20,000/- per month depending on qualification and experience Post Graduate (preferably M.com or MBA) and minimum three years relevant research/ project/ teaching experience or M.Phil.

 

Duration of Appointment:

The appointment will begin June 1, 2014 and will be for a maximum period of 11 months. The positions are purely on contract basis.

Selection Process: 

Interviews will be held on 12/05/2014 at the IIM Lucknow campus. Only the short listed candidates will be informed about the time and date of their interview. No TA/ DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.

Experience:

1. Professor:
A minimum of ten years of research / academic / professional experience of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor or an equivalent position in a premier and reputed institution, organization or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research and academics in a specific area of specialization in terms of applied research, guidance of Ph.D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and other professional R&D and academic activities.
2. Associate Professor:
A minimum of six years of research / academic / professional experience of which three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or an equivalent position in a premier and reputed institution, organization or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research and academic output in terms of guidance of M.Tech. And Ph.D students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and other professional R & D and academic activities.
3. Assistant Professor
A minimum of three years of research / professional experience in a premier and reputed organization excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. Candidates should have demonstrated research and academic capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences.

Note: Eligible candidates with less than the requisite experience to be an Assistant Professor may be initially offered a Contract for a period of three years and would be put on a tenure track for the regular position of Assistant Professor thereafter.

Selection process:

The selection methodology will comprise two stage processes –Personal Interview followed by Medical examination. The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, experience, expertise, aptitude and physical fitness. The candidates will be shortlisted for interview, based on their eligibility/ experience in the relevant field, in the ratio of 1:5.

Medical Examination:

The selected candidate will have to undergo medical fitness examination in DMRC nominated hospital as per the prescribed medical category. Expenses for the first time medical examination of the candidate will be borne by DMRC. However, in case a candidate seeks extension for joining, then the second time medical examination expenditure for the joining will be borne by the candidate himself/herself.

General Details:

  1. The names of the candidates, who qualify the selection process, will be uploaded in our website tentatively by 25/06/14 (6pm).
  2. The shortlisted candidates will be sent for medical examination as per the medical standards mentioned on DMRC website.
  3. Names of shortlisted candidates will tentatively be put up on our website on 02/06/14 (6 pm).
  4. The interview will tentatively start from 10/06/14, at Metro Bhawan, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.
