Essential Qualifications:

(1) The eligibility criteria and qualifications are as per the University of Delhi/ University Grants Commission norms.
(2) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST /Persons with Disability viz. physically and visually disabled or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19-09-1991 and hold a Ph.D degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
(3) Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (state level eligibility test SLET/SET).
(4) Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for awards of M. Phil/ Ph.D. degree), Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
(5) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master’s Degree Programme in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted.

Rs. 250 for General/ OBC applicants and Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PWD candidates payable in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of Principal, Miranda House.

Educational Qualifications:

Professor -

In case of research experience, good academic record & book / research paper.

Associate Professor -
Applicant should have minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching / research / industry of which at least 2 years post PhD is desirable.

Assistant Professor -

Selection Process:

Professor and Associate Professor -
There will be no written test. However candidates will be shortlisted as per criteria of the institute. Shortlisted candidates called for Interview (Scheduled on Tentatively 3rd week of June 2014)

Assistant Professor -
Written test (100 Marks) will be conducted for short listing of candidates if the applicants are too many AND Interview.

The Government of Delhi is the supreme governing authority of the Indian national capital territory of Delhi (NCT) and its 9 districts. It consists of an executive, led by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, a judiciary and a legislative. The present Legislative Assembly of Delhi is unicameral, consisting of 70 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Resident in various Hospital/Institutions of Government of NCT of Delhi purely on contract basis. The appointment will be initially for Six Months extendable upto one year on the basis of satisfactory work and conduct report from the concerned H.O.D. and written request from Doctor concerned and Vacancy Position.

 Essential qualification for Junior Residents:-

1. A recognized MBBS Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-ll of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship:- Candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall be eligible to appear for the written examination provided that, if selected, they should have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before date of Joining.

3. The candidate must be registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining to the Post, if selected.

 Age Limit:

Candidates should not be more than 35/38/40 years of age in respect of General/OBC/SC-ST/ respectively on the last date for receipt of applications as contained in DHS Rules, 2009.

Selection Procedure:

There shall be a written MCQ (Single Response Type) of examination followed by counseling. This written examination shall be organized by the Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi on 1st June, 2014 at 10:00AM. The syllabus of the Examination will be of MBBS Course level.

For General/ OBC category applicants application fee is Rs.1,000/- and for SC/ ST/ PH candidates fee would be Rs. 500/- and paid in favour of "Dean, MAMC".
